Your New Year Nail Goals

Alpha Brush

Posted on December 31 2020

From all of us at Alpha Brush, we wish you the happiest and healthiest New Year!

2021 is officially the year we’ve all been waiting for, and we deserve it to be everything that 2020 was not. This year, it’s time to forge ahead with new resolutions and commitments to being our best selves, and that includes our nails! If you’re a nail tech, you may be resolving to put even more effort into your business.

If you’re a nail enthusiast, you may be thinking of ways to double down on keeping your nails healthy and looking their best. Either way, out with the old, fail of a 2020, and in with the new, full of hope 2021! We’ve put together a list of nail goals to help you make your resolutions or commitments for the New Year.

Upgrade Your Tools
If you’ve been meaning to upgrade your nail brushes and tools, this is the perfect time to do it. Start the year fresh with upgraded brushes, stock up on brush restorer, and protect your investments with brush caps. Whether you’re going from student brushes or leveling up from intermediate to expert brushes, definitely hook yourself up with some upgrades.

Upgrade Your Polish
Upgrading your nail polish doesn’t necessarily mean dropping a ton of cash on it, although if you want to go from drugstore color to Chanel we won’t judge you. This can mean all kinds of things, whether it’s adding new polishes to your existing collection, going through your polishes and tossing those that are too old or rarely used, or picking up a new organizing piece or system. Is there anything prettier than all those colors displayed in a well-organized manner? We think not.

Try New Styles and Shapes
New year, new you, for yourself or for your clients. If you’ve been meaning to pick up some new techniques and ramp up your detail game, now’s the time. If you feel like the same old shapes and styles are played out, come up with something fresh that no one else is doing. Start off the New Year by setting your own trends.

Let Your Nails Rest
If you’ve had your acrylics or gels on for months on end now and the holiday sets are done, maybe it’s time to go natural for a bit and let your nails breathe. Not only do you need a break from all of the stress of 2020, so do your nails.

Commit to a Skincare Routine
All of the handwashing and sanitizing plus cleaning constantly has wrecked everyone’s nails and skin. For 2021, why not resolve to stick to a good skincare routine for your hands and feet? They deserve it after all the hard work they put in over the last year

Be in Good Health
Cheers to your New Year by committing to your inner health, which will be reflected in your outer appearance. Drink more water. Eat more veggies. Get those workouts in no matter how little time you have. Getting back to a basic good health plan and turning it into a habit takes a little perseverance but you’ll thank yourself later.
